Thank you Bill.
Paul Stewart has a very nice, very personal essay relating to Veteran's Day that I would like to request everyone read.
https://www.hockeybuzz.co...e-Day-Thoughts/196/108281
I will shamelessly change one word in a famous poem talking about the sacrifice of soldiers who face death in foreign lands.
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there’s some corner of a foreign field
That is forever America.
There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom America bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam;
A body of America's, breathing American air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.
And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by America given;
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an American heaven.

Poulins shorty against Quebec! One of the greatest goals in Flyers history. |

You will be back in 5 minutes. You can’t resist being the center of attention. This thread will be ruined by you injecting yourself into everybody’s quotes Cliffy. |

Not to start a debate or anything else. Just interesting. I believe the US only declare war 4 times. In the books Korea and Vietnam go down as conflicts. But happy the memorials classify them as war. Bc that’s what they were. |

Bill if you had to induct 5 Fighters/Tough guys from the Flyers to their Hall of Fame who would you choose? - login
Would you throw in a honorable inductee in frank the animal. Don’t think he played in the nhl but those ahl penalty minutes are impressive. |

The animal did get a taste in the nhl I believe. Look up him fighting Tony Twist who was a bad a$$ himself. He made Twist quit. |

I miss the days when Barnaby and Rob Ray came into town. The anticipation of the game that night was great. Every team had a villain . Good hockey and just the arena being electric. |

Great list. I would add honorable mention to Simmer for frequently fighting above his weight category. And in memoriam- Razor (although, he did not fight that often in Flyers uniform) |
